PRAYER THAT SHIFTS THE SPIRITUAL REALM
Anchor Scripture: Isaiah: 53.11-12 NKJV*
[11] He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities. [12] Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.
As we heard at the start of the year, our theme is the manifestation of the power of
REDEMPTION. This year has started with great potential, and it will continue throughout the year.
The heart and spirit of this sermon is to elevate our understanding of intercession.*
Isaiah 53.6 to verse 12 is a prophetic message of the Christ. Isaiah emphasises that because
of Christ’s sacrifice and obedience to the Father, He will see the fruit of his travail. From this the
Christ is given authority and we also learn the principles of operating in the kingly anointing.
Scripture: Ecclesiastes 5.9 AMP- This talks about the blessings that follow anyone walking in the kingly anointing. With this understanding, you can never worry about your provision on the earth. The king is an advantage to those around him and they always seek to serve the anointing on his life….
The kingly anointing is stirred by men who know how to sacrifice as Jesus did; you can not have your life unless you are willing to lose it. We also recognise that the equation of Isaiah 53 would not be complete if Christ never made intercession for the transgressors.
One of the avenues of manifestation is intercession and prophetic prayer is a higher level of
intercession.
Prophetic Prayer
This is the spirit-initiated process of perceiving the current intentions of God (Rhema) through
the lens of His established word (Logos) and articulating those intentions back to Him or into the
earthly realm to authorise their manifestation.*
Somethings will not manifest on the earth without your engagement. Prophetic prayer works
on the simple but powerful principle of Amos 3.7 that the Lord will do nothing without revealing
His secret to His servants the prophets.*
All prophetic prayer involves intercession but not all intercession is prophetic. This is why we are learning about the prophetic realm of intercession.
Back to Isaiah 53.12, the word “intercession” here is “pâga” which means to strike the mark,
encounter, teach the boundary or to intercept…*
Intercession vs Prophetic prayer *.
When a person applies to intercession, that person intercepts between God and man with the
intention of having an encounter. Therefore, traditional intercession moves from man to God.
Prophetic intercession, however, moves from God to man.
